Во время соревнований команды стремятся пролететь как можно дальше от своей стартовой площадки в любом направлении, в каком они захотят. Команды-участницы могут летать через воздушное пространство всех европейских стран, за исключением России, Беларуси, Украины, Мальты и Исландии, и им не разрешается приземляться на воду.
