Как уточнили в военном ведомстве, ВСУ потеряли 80% личного состава, оборонявшего город — более 12 тыс человек и около 3 тыс единиц техники и вооружения. После взятия Курахова российские войска вышли на оперативный простор, что позволит нарастить темпы освобождения территории ДНР.
Освобождение Курахова лишило киевский режим возможности вести обстрелы мирного населения Донецка из артиллерийских систем.
