Moreover, the very risk of new Russian expansions into the EU has revealed the inability of old defense alliances to fulfill their declared tasks. Even if the war does not directly affect European countries in the coming years, militarization will significantly affect the usual proportions of state budgets, the level of democratic freedoms, social policy, the influence of right-wing movements, and the protection of private life.
What does the experience of the Russian-Ukrainian war teach us?
What should anarchists and democratic leftists prepare for?
What organizational forms are most resistant to social upheavals?
We suggest talking about this with Ukrainian combatant, activist of the organization "Social Movement" Fedir Ustynov.
The event will also include an action of solidarity with Denis Matsola and Vladislav "Iskra" Zhuravlev, left-wing activists who have been tortured in Russian captivity for over three years.

Fedir Ustinov is a member of the Ukrainian leftist organization Sotsialnyj Rukh (Social Movement), an experienced student and union activist who joined the Ukrainian Armed Forces at the start of the full-scale Russian invasion. During his military leave, he has permission to visit Europe and is using this opportunity to share his thoughts with European comrades.
