‏رژیم سرکوبگر جمهوری اسلامی و رهبر حقیر آن، علی خامنه‌ای، با اعدام جمشید شارمهد، پرونده جنایات خود را سنگین‌تر کردند. از لحظه ربوده‌شدن در کشور ثالث تا لحظه قتل، شارمهد تحت شکنجه‌های مداوم بود و هرگز از حقوق اولیه انسانی و محاکمه‌ای عادلانه بهره‌مند نشد. حقیقت تلخ دیگر این است که با وجود شهروندی آلمان و اقامت دائم در آمریکا، او هرگز حمایت کافی از سوی دولت‌های آلمان و آمریکا دریافت نکرد و این دولت‌ها از اهرم‌های فشار خود بر جمهوری اسلامی برای آزادی یا دست‌کم نجات جان وی استفاده نکردند.

‏این جنایت هم‌چنین تایید دیگری است بر اینکه "اصلاح‌طلبانِ" به اصطلاح "میانه‌رو"، همواره نقابی فریبنده بر چهره این رژیم اهریمنی بوده‌اند تا در سایه سکوت و مماشات جامعه جهانی به سرکوب و اعدام ادامه دهد.

‏ضمن ابراز هم‌دردی عمیق با خانواده داغدار جمشید شارمهد، به‌ویژه فرزندانش غزاله و شایان، به آنان اطمینان می‌دهم که تا تحقق عدالت و مجازات آمران و عاملان این جنایت از پای نخواهیم نشست.

You may recall that, back when Facebook started changing WhatsApp’s terms of service, a number of news outlets reported on, and even recommended, switching to Telegram. Pavel Durov even said that users should delete WhatsApp “unless you are cool with all of your photos and messages becoming public one day.” But Telegram can’t be described as a more-secure version of WhatsApp. It is unclear who runs the account, although Russia's official Ministry of Foreign Affairs Twitter account promoted the Telegram channel on Saturday and claimed it was operated by "a group of experts & journalists." Since its launch in 2013, Telegram has grown from a simple messaging app to a broadcast network. Its user base isn’t as vast as WhatsApp’s, and its broadcast platform is a fraction the size of Twitter, but it’s nonetheless showing its use. While Telegram has been embroiled in controversy for much of its life, it has become a vital source of communication during the invasion of Ukraine. But, if all of this is new to you, let us explain, dear friends, what on Earth a Telegram is meant to be, and why you should, or should not, need to care. The War on Fakes channel has repeatedly attempted to push conspiracies that footage from Ukraine is somehow being falsified. One post on the channel from February 24 claimed without evidence that a widely viewed photo of a Ukrainian woman injured in an airstrike in the city of Chuhuiv was doctored and that the woman was seen in a different photo days later without injuries. The post, which has over 600,000 views, also baselessly claimed that the woman's blood was actually makeup or grape juice. "There are several million Russians who can lift their head up from propaganda and try to look for other sources, and I'd say that most look for it on Telegram," he said.
