Вообще, я обычно перед посещением музеев ничего специально не читаю. В моём понимании, экспонат должен впечатлять сам по себе, без подсказок.

И ещё надо обязательно смотреть своими глазами, а не "взглядом Сенкевича". Книги часто пишут сильно увлеченные люди, которые потратят 10 страниц на описание исторического момента, происхождения материала и хронологии открытия, а смешные уши обойдут стороной.
