Королевская комиссия по городу Эр-Рияду (RCRC) объявила о запуске двух дополнительных линий (Красная: King Abdullah Road и Зеленая: King Abdulaziz Road) метро Эр-Рияда 15 декабря 2024 года.
Пассажиры имеют доступ к станциям на двух линиях с 6 утра до полуночи. Таким образом, пять из шести линий метро теперь работают.
Согласно ранее объявленному плану развертывания, оранжевая линия (охватывает Madinah Road) откроется 5 января 2025 года, что сделает сеть метро Эр-Рияда полностью работоспособной.
