قضىٰ وهو يدافع عن أُمّته ودينه ووطنه، بين مشروعٍ وفكرةٍ وعمل، كم من مغمورٍ بطل؛ لا عَلِمنا اسمه ولا رَسمَه ولا تفاصيله، تقطّع أشلاءً ليكون حصنًا لهذا الدّين، كم من أميرٍ للظِّلّ ما زال إلى اليوم يحمل أُمّةً على كتفه، يهترئ سائرًا دون وجع، لم ينتظر شكرَ أحدٍ ولا مدحه، كم من صادقٍ مجتهد، أقرب النّاس إليه لا يعلم خبيئته، ولا سريرته، ولا عبادته، ولا جهاده
كم من أثرٍ نقتات على فضله اليوم دون أن نعلم صاحبه! عمل الظِّلّ عظيم، لا يستطيعه كلّ أحد، يُوفّق له من وَطَّنَ نفسه أنّه لله، لا يرىٰ لذاته مكانًا إلّا الآخرة، لا يُغريه لقب ولا عدد ولا مكان، يستمدّ الضّوء من قلبه ويستمر.
