Ранее Международная федерация хоккея (IIHF) подтвердила недопуск российской команды к участию в Играх.
В Олимпийском комитете России тогда выразили несогласие с решением и сообщили о намерении его оспорить, отметив, что «не существует юридических оснований для отстранения» и российские спортсмены должны иметь право выступать во всех дисциплинах, включая хоккей.
Зимние Олимпийские игры 2026 года пройдут с 6 по 22 февраля в Милане и Кортина-д’Ампеццо (Италия).
