این جنایتکار، زمانی که وزیر کشور بود، دستانش به خون سوری‌ها آلوده شد، اعتراضات را سرکوب کرد و همچنین در زمانی که حافظ اسد او را به‌عنوان افسر امنیتی در طرابلس منصوب کرده بود، در کشتار مردم آنجا نیز نقش داشت.

حالا وانمود می‌کند که بی‌گناه و بی‌خطر است!
وی میگوید:
با اختیار کامل خود آمده‌ام تا اطلاعاتی را که درباره وقایع دوره گذشته تحت حکومت رژیم سرنگون‌شده دارم، ارائه دهم.
