«Маскарад» — одна и самых петербургских пьес, но имеет очень скромную, хоть и громкую, постановочную историю в нашем городе.

Начался путь этой пьесы в петербургском театре с легендарной постановки Всеволода Мейерхольда в 1917 году. А в год 210-летнего юбилея Михаила Лермонтова главный режиссер нашего театра Сусанна Цирюк подарила петербургскому зрителю новое прочтение пьесы — фантасмагорию со всеми оттенками мистической, призрачной и таинственной стороны Петербурга.
