Уже в воздухе авиадиспетчер сообщил экипажу, что часть судна могла отпасть. Капитан самолета принял решение вернуться в аэропорт, во Внуково был объявлен код тревоги «Синий». Спустя час борт без происшествий приземлился. Отпавшую часть капота нашли на взлетной полосе.
