26 марта 2025 года, в среду Крестопоклонной седмицы, по благословению Святейшего Патриарха Московского и всея Руси Кирилла первый викарий Патриарха по г. Москве, управляющий Центральным викариатством митрополит Воскресенский Григорий совершил молебен и освящение приготовленных для мироварения веществ в крестовом храме Владимирской иконы Божией Матери в Патриаршей резиденции в Чистом переулке.

После освящения все благовония были смешаны с елеем — так они будут настаиваться в течение следующих двух недель.

С этого молебна начинается длительный процесс приготовления мира, который завершится на Страстной седмице в Малом соборе Донского монастыря. Традиция варить здесь миро ведется с 1946 года.
