بنا بر اخبار رسیده علت انجام این اعتصاب پایین بودن حقوق و دستمزد پرسنل اعلام شده است.
گویا پیش از این مدیران شرکت قول افزایش حقوق را به پرسنل داده بودند که بعد از گذشت چندین ماه به وعده خود عمل نکرده اند این در حالی است که شرکت ایران خودرو طی اطلاعیه ای رسمی محصولات تولیدی خود را افزایش داده است.
امروز دومین اعتصاب پرسنل این شرکت در کرمانشاه بود.
