Зеленый - возрождение жизни и принадлежность к религии ислам.
Надпись «АЛПАН» на зелёной полосе означает принадлежность лезгин к древнему государству Кавказской Албании. Написанно буквами древнего албанского алфавита. Она напоминает о богатой истории лезгинского народа.
