دونالد ترامپ، رئیس‌جمهور منتخب ایالات متحده روز دوشنبه در جریان مصاحبه‌ای تلفنی با شبکه نیوزمکس ادعا کرد که مذاکرات جاری بر سر آزادی گروگان‌های اسرائیلی تا آخر این هفته نهایی خواهد شد.
او گفت: «ما به نهایی شدن توافق بسیار نزدیک هستیم. آنها باید چنین کاری را بکنند وگرنه دردسرهای زیادی برایشان بوجود خواهد آمد؛ مشکلات زیادی که قبلاً هرگز ندیده‌اند. آنها این کار را انجام خواهند داد.»

"Like the bombing of the maternity ward in Mariupol," he said, "Even before it hits the news, you see the videos on the Telegram channels."
