80 лет назад, 6 мая 1945 года советские войска начали Пражскую наступательную операцию – последнюю стратегическую наступательную операцию Великой Отечественной войны.

В ходе операции была уничтожена германская группа армий «Центр» и часть сил группы армий «Юг», от войск противника была очищена Чехословакия и ее столица Прага.

За свободу чешского народа Советский Союз заплатит 12 тысячами жизней воинов, сражавшихся под Красным знаменем.
