ما اعضای کانون خیریه دانشگاه نوشیروانی مراتب اعتراض خود را نسبت به رد صلاحیت دبیر پر تلاش کانون خیریه - که نقش کلیدی در پیشبرد اهداف انسان دوستانه کانون خیریه داشتند - برای انتخابات دور بعدی اعلام میداریم. با هدف پاسداشت اصول انصاف و قدردانی از زحمات بی‌شائبه ایشان، ما اعضای فعلی کانون خیریه به شرح امضاکنندگان زیر، استعفای خود را از ادامه فعالیت در این کانون اعلام می‌نماییم و نیز انصراف قطعی خود را از شرکت در انتخابات مذکور اعلام میداریم. این تصمیم، نشأت‌گرفته از این باور قلبی و اصل خدشه‌ناپذیر ماست که موجودیت و پویایی کانون، در گروِ حضور همه‌جانبه و یکپارچه‌ی اعضای کلیدی آن، به‌ویژه دبیر محترم می‌باشد. لذا، در شرایطی که اصلی‌ترین رکن این مجموعه به ناحق از ادامه مسیر بازداشته شده‌است، ادامه فعالیت برای دیگر اعضا نیز معنا و مفهوم اصیل خود را از دست داده و از این رو، ادامه همکاری خود را با این روند، مغایر با اصول و ارزش‌های خود می‌دانیم.

What distinguishes the app from competitors is its use of what's known as channels: Public or private feeds of photos and videos that can be set up by one person or an organization. The channels have become popular with on-the-ground journalists, aid workers and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who broadcasts on a Telegram channel. The channels can be followed by an unlimited number of people. Unlike Facebook, Twitter and other popular social networks, there is no advertising on Telegram and the flow of information is not driven by an algorithm. Telegram has become more interventionist over time, and has steadily increased its efforts to shut down these accounts. But this has also meant that the company has also engaged with lawmakers more generally, although it maintains that it doesn’t do so willingly. For instance, in September 2021, Telegram reportedly blocked a chat bot in support of (Putin critic) Alexei Navalny during Russia’s most recent parliamentary elections. Pavel Durov was quoted at the time saying that the company was obliged to follow a “legitimate” law of the land. He added that as Apple and Google both follow the law, to violate it would give both platforms a reason to boot the messenger from its stores. Telegram users are able to send files of any type up to 2GB each and access them from any device, with no limit on cloud storage, which has made downloading files more popular on the platform. Telegram does offer end-to-end encrypted communications through Secret Chats, but this is not the default setting. Standard conversations use the MTProto method, enabling server-client encryption but with them stored on the server for ease-of-access. This makes using Telegram across multiple devices simple, but also means that the regular Telegram chats you’re having with folks are not as secure as you may believe. "There are several million Russians who can lift their head up from propaganda and try to look for other sources, and I'd say that most look for it on Telegram," he said.
