كَانَ يَأْمُرُ الصَّبِيَّ بِالصَّوْمِ فِي شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ بَعْضَ النَّهَارِ فَإِذَا رَأَى الْجُوعَ وَ الْعَطَشَ غَلَبَ عَلَيْهِ أَمَرَهُ فَأَفْطَرَ

از امام صادق علیه السلام روایتی نقل شده است که کودکان میتوانند قبل از بلوغ هم در ماه رمضان روزه بگیرند و چون گرسنگی و تشنگی بر آنها غلبه کرد امام دستور به افطار کودکان میدادند.
