Отрезок дороги соответствует параметрам IV категории.
В Якутии можно побывать в музее мамонтов, увидеть кимберлитовую трубку «Мир», где добывали алмазы, а также посетить один из «Полюсов холода» нашей планеты — село Оймякон. В 1942-м здесь зафиксировали температуру −71,2 °С.
