فيرد عليها الدكتور ساخراً: «أنت لأنك طيبة ستدخلين الجنة، وأفكارك العلمانية ستدخل النار». ثم علق المسيري قائلاً: «بأنها لم تكن تفهم معنى كونها علمانية!». قلت: أي لم تكن تفهم اللوازم الفلسفية والسلوكية للعلمانية ولمعنى كونها علمانية!
وهذا ما تراه بين كثير من البنات المحجبات والمنتقبات مع الفكر النسوي، فهن جاهلات بالإسلام وبالنسوية معا، لهذا تعلن أنها مسلمة نسوية أو تتبنى تصورات النسوية وتضفي عليها صبغة إسلامية.
