Армавирский городской суд приостановил деятельность местной религиозной группы, входящей в Международный союз церквей евангельских христиан-баптистов (МСЦ ЕХБ), который принципиально отказываются от государственной регистрации.
Незарегистрированная община баптистов проводила собрания в жилом доме. Прокуратура обратилась в суд с иском о ликвидации общины, отметив, что деятельность без уведомления соответствующих органов «подрывает авторитет органов государственной власти» и «нарушает права неопределенного круга лиц».
Представители общины отметили, что законодательство не требует от религиозной группы обязательной регистрации или подачи уведомления для проведения богослужений.
Суд встал на сторону прокуратуры и запретил деятельность общины, пока она не уведомит Минюст о своей деятельности.
