تامس نیگل (۱۹۳۷ – کنون)، فیلسوف آمریکایی، چالشی مهم را مقابلِ دیدگاه‌های فیزیکالیستیِ آگاهی، مطرح کرده است.
به‌نظر نیگل، آگاهی، فاعل‌محور است. برای آنکه یک تجربه‌ی آگاهانه را بفهمیم باید در حال‌و‌هوای فاعل قرار بگیریم (اگر خفاش نباشیم چه‌طور می‌خواهیم بدانیم خفاش‌بودن چه حال‌و‌هوایی دارد؟). در مقابل، علوم فیزیکی عینیت‌محورند. بین حالت فاعل‌محور و حالت عینیت‌محور پُلی پُرنشدنی موجود است.

Channels are not fully encrypted, end-to-end. All communications on a Telegram channel can be seen by anyone on the channel and are also visible to Telegram. Telegram may be asked by a government to hand over the communications from a channel. Telegram has a history of standing up to Russian government requests for data, but how comfortable you are relying on that history to predict future behavior is up to you. Because Telegram has this data, it may also be stolen by hackers or leaked by an internal employee. The fake Zelenskiy account reached 20,000 followers on Telegram before it was shut down, a remedial action that experts say is all too rare. Ukrainian forces have since put up a strong resistance to the Russian troops amid the war that has left hundreds of Ukrainian civilians, including children, dead, according to the United Nations. Ukrainian and international officials have accused Russia of targeting civilian populations with shelling and bombardments. The perpetrators use various names to carry out the investment scams. They may also impersonate or clone licensed capital market intermediaries by using the names, logos, credentials, websites and other details of the legitimate entities to promote the illegal schemes. But Telegram says people want to keep their chat history when they get a new phone, and they like having a data backup that will sync their chats across multiple devices. And that is why they let people choose whether they want their messages to be encrypted or not. When not turned on, though, chats are stored on Telegram's services, which are scattered throughout the world. But it has "disclosed 0 bytes of user data to third parties, including governments," Telegram states on its website.
