В Нейпьидо состоялось совместное заседание представителей МЧС России с руководством правительства. Решено перебросить сводный отряд МЧС России в самый пострадавший район страны - провинцию Мандалай.
Туда самолетом малой авиации направлена передовая группировка из 20 спасателей, кинологов и операторов БАС. Специалисты сориентируются на месте и первыми приступят к поисково-спасательным работам. Еще одна группа из 10 специалистов МЧС России выдвинулась на место на высокопроходимых автомобилях для оценки инфраструктуры и состояния дорожного полотна.
