Если кому-то не очень убедительны рассуждения о том, что Украина заходом в Курск выстрелила себе в ногу, ещё одно простое пояснение:

(Расширение фронта на Курской дуге на 100 дополнительных километров в корне противоречит фундаментальным интересам ВФУ на данном этапе, которые зависят от экономии сил и недопущения их растягивания)
Понятно, что Сырский находился в цугцванге, где у него не было хороших решений — контрнаступ влобовую уже пробовали, результат был более чем печален.
Но из всех плохих решений было выбрано прямо совсем дикое, полностью отбрасывающее общий контекст противостояния Украины и России, если и ведущее хоть к каким-то достижениям, то таким, которые невозможно зафиксировать и удержать в руках.

In addition, Telegram's architecture limits the ability to slow the spread of false information: the lack of a central public feed, and the fact that comments are easily disabled in channels, reduce the space for public pushback. Additionally, investors are often instructed to deposit monies into personal bank accounts of individuals who claim to represent a legitimate entity, and/or into an unrelated corporate account. To lend credence and to lure unsuspecting victims, perpetrators usually claim that their entity and/or the investment schemes are approved by financial authorities. False news often spreads via public groups, or chats, with potentially fatal effects. What distinguishes the app from competitors is its use of what's known as channels: Public or private feeds of photos and videos that can be set up by one person or an organization. The channels have become popular with on-the-ground journalists, aid workers and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who broadcasts on a Telegram channel. The channels can be followed by an unlimited number of people. Unlike Facebook, Twitter and other popular social networks, there is no advertising on Telegram and the flow of information is not driven by an algorithm.
