Американский президент Дональд Трамп во время встречи с аргентинским коллегой Хавьером Милеем заявил, что из-за угрозы введения пошлин члены БРИКС отказываются от участия в объединении.
«Я сказал: "Если вы хотите поиграть в эту игру, я собираюсь ввести пошлины на всю вашу продукцию, поставляемую в США". Они сказали — мы выходим из БРИКС. Все вышли из БРИКС. Они все выходят из БРИКС», — сказал Трамп.
Также он отметил, что главная цель объединения заключалась в атаке на доллар США.
