Торжественная церемония прошла в день города, Кирову исполнилось 650 лет. Памятник установили на обновленной площади перед областной филармонией, рядом с местом, где раньше находился Александро-Невский собор.
🖥 Собор строили 25 лет на добровольные пожертвования в память о посещении города императором Александром I. В 1864 году строительство было завершено, а в 1937 году собор разрушили.
В 2024 году площадь также получила имя Александра Невского.
