Стоимость объекта всех трёх этапов составит ₽29,1млрд. В 2019 году проект стоил дешевле. Минтранспорта Башкирии тогда оценивало строительство 19 км второй линии железнодорожных путей, трех мостов, в том числе через реку Белую, и двух путепроводов в ₽6млрд.
Южный обход Уфы, как заявляли в РЖД, позволит увеличить пассажиропоток. Сейчас загрузка всего на 30%.
