Российские космонавты Олег Артемьев, Денис Матвеев и Сергей Корсаков приветствовали участников, пожелали всем успеха, отметили важность фестиваля и добавили, что русских путешественников можно встретить даже в космосе.
В рамках фестиваля состоится открытие первого в мире travel-буккроссинга, пройдёт открытый всероссийский урок географии, а ещё участники присоединятся к флешмобу-кругосветке «Русский самовар», посетят филателистическую выставку и экспозицию «Виртуальные и квазигосударства мира».
