Despite Telegram's origins, its approach to users' security has privacy advocates worried. Overall, extreme levels of fear in the market seems to have morphed into something more resembling concern. Unlike Facebook, Twitter and other popular social networks, there is no advertising on Telegram and the flow of information is not driven by an algorithm.
