24- وَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي خَيْثَمَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ وَ يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ السَّيْلَحِينِيُّ قَالا حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ قَالَ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو: يَا أَبَا الطُّفَيْلِ اعْدُدْ اثْنَيْ عَشَرَ مِنْ بَنِي كَعْبِ بْنِ لُؤَيٍّ ثُمَّ يَكُونُ النَّقْفُ وَ النِّقَافُ. و الروايات في هذا المعنى من طرق العامة كثيرة تدل على أن رسول الله ص يذكر الاثني عشر و أنهم خلفاؤه.
ترجمه: ابو طفيل گويد: عبد الله بن عمرو به من گفت: اى ابو طفيل دوازده تن از بني كعب بن لؤىّ را بشمار سپس بعد از آن كشت و كشتار خواهد بود. و روايات در اين معنى از طرق اهل سنت بسيار است كه بر این دلالت دارد كه رسول خدا صلى الله عليه و آله دوازده نفر را عنوان جانشينان خود یاد کرده است.
