История произошла 12 ноября, когда машинист грузового поезда, проезжая мимо одного из релейных шкафов, заметил постороннего. Он сообщил в полицию. Приехавшие полицейские выяснили, что релейный и батарейный шкафы облиты бензином. Рядом валялась бутылка с остатками горючей жидкости и спички. При этом даже в случае удачи диверсант не смог бы нарушить движение поездов, так как шкафы были резервными.
Случаи поджогов релейных шкафов на железной дороге начали происходить в России после 24 февраля 2022 года. Но в большинстве случаев порча оборудования ни на что не влияет.
