А на Сретенье снег полетел волною,
Да такой пушистый, такой огромный,
Словно не решает ничто земное,
Словно кошка тянется спинкой томной,

Словно мне четыре, в тяжёлой шубе
Я смотрю на лучи фонаря живые,
Словно бабушка ещё живая и любит
Поиграть в лото, посмотреть «Марию».

Я стою без шапки в России где-то,
Например вот, где-нибудь под Рязанью,
И лохмотья снега в столбиках света
Медленно спускаются осознаньем.

И как будто я всё сейчас понимаю,
И как будто смерть отвернула морду,
И как будто смеётся бабушка Майя,
Потому что Бог живых, а не мёртвых.

As the war in Ukraine rages, the messaging app Telegram has emerged as the go-to place for unfiltered live war updates for both Ukrainian refugees and increasingly isolated Russians alike. DFR Lab sent the image through Microsoft Azure's Face Verification program and found that it was "highly unlikely" that the person in the second photo was the same as the first woman. The fact-checker Logically AI also found the claim to be false. The woman, Olena Kurilo, was also captured in a video after the airstrike and shown to have the injuries. At this point, however, Durov had already been working on Telegram with his brother, and further planned a mobile-first social network with an explicit focus on anti-censorship. Later in April, he told TechCrunch that he had left Russia and had “no plans to go back,” saying that the nation was currently “incompatible with internet business at the moment.” He added later that he was looking for a country that matched his libertarian ideals to base his next startup. Some people used the platform to organize ahead of the storming of the U.S. Capitol in January 2021, and last month Senator Mark Warner sent a letter to Durov urging him to curb Russian information operations on Telegram. You may recall that, back when Facebook started changing WhatsApp’s terms of service, a number of news outlets reported on, and even recommended, switching to Telegram. Pavel Durov even said that users should delete WhatsApp “unless you are cool with all of your photos and messages becoming public one day.” But Telegram can’t be described as a more-secure version of WhatsApp.
