Командующий вооруженными силами Эстонии Андрус Мерило выступил на местной конференции союза дорожников, где заявил, что в случае начала конфликта с Россией необходимо будет «взорвать все основные эстонские дороги и мосты для замедления продвижения российских войск».
Мерило также отметил, что транспортная инфраструктура имеет решающее значение для национальной обороны и напомнил про статью 3 НАТО, которая предусматривает, что каждый член альянса должен, в том числе, самостоятельно наращивать свой оборонный потенциал.
