Если вы думаете, что первым заводским G-классом с V12 был G65 AMG из начала 10-х, то это не совсем так.

На прошедшем в Дубае RM Sotheby's на торги выставляли Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 2002 года выпуска. Обозначение G63 намекает на V8 под капотом, но конкретно в этой машине стоит 6,3-литровый V12. Причем атмосферный, мощностью 440 сил.

Редкий в линейке AMG мотор — это по сути доработанный M137. Ставили его на S-класс, CL-класс и собственно G-класс. И в каждом кузове эта версия имела обозначение 63. Самый же редкий из них именно «Гелик» — весь тираж пять экземпляров.

На аукционе единорог ушел за солидные $398 750.
