هفته پژوهش را به تمامی تلاشگران عرصه علم و دانش تبریک می‌گویم. پژوهش، موتور محرکه پیشرفت و توسعه پایدار است و دانشگاه‌ها به عنوان خانه اندیشه و خلاقیت، نقش محوری در این عرصه ایفا می‌کنند.
در طول این هفته، فرصت مغتنمی است تا به دستاوردهای ارزشمند پژوهشگران خود افتخار کنیم و از تلاش‌های خستگی‌ناپذیرشان قدردانی نماییم. پژوهشگران ما با نبوغ و پشتکار خود، مرزهای دانش را گسترش داده و به حل چالش‌های جامعه کمک شایانی کرده‌اند.
از تمامی اعضای هیأت علمی، دانشجویان تحصیلات تکمیلی و کارکنان حوزه پژوهش که با تلاش‌های شبانه‌روزی خود، به ارتقای جایگاه علمی دانشگاه کمک می‌کنند، تشکر و قدردانی می‌نمایم. امیدوارم در آینده‌ای نزدیک شاهد شکوفایی هرچه بیشتر پژوهش در دانشگاه باشیم.

Telegram has gained a reputation as the “secure” communications app in the post-Soviet states, but whenever you make choices about your digital security, it’s important to start by asking yourself, “What exactly am I securing? And who am I securing it from?” These questions should inform your decisions about whether you are using the right tool or platform for your digital security needs. Telegram is certainly not the most secure messaging app on the market right now. Its security model requires users to place a great deal of trust in Telegram’s ability to protect user data. For some users, this may be good enough for now. For others, it may be wiser to move to a different platform for certain kinds of high-risk communications. Telegram does offer end-to-end encrypted communications through Secret Chats, but this is not the default setting. Standard conversations use the MTProto method, enabling server-client encryption but with them stored on the server for ease-of-access. This makes using Telegram across multiple devices simple, but also means that the regular Telegram chats you’re having with folks are not as secure as you may believe. Individual messages can be fully encrypted. But the user has to turn on that function. It's not automatic, as it is on Signal and WhatsApp. This ability to mix the public and the private, as well as the ability to use bots to engage with users has proved to be problematic. In early 2021, a database selling phone numbers pulled from Facebook was selling numbers for $20 per lookup. Similarly, security researchers found a network of deepfake bots on the platform that were generating images of people submitted by users to create non-consensual imagery, some of which involved children. "We as Ukrainians believe that the truth is on our side, whether it's truth that you're proclaiming about the war and everything else, why would you want to hide it?," he said.
