🔸سخنگوی وزارت خارجه آمریکا روز سه‌شنبه ۲۷ آذر اعلام کرد که آتش‌بس میان کردها و نیروهای مورد حمایت ترکیه در شهر منبیج سوریه«تا پایان هفته جاری» تمدید شده است.

🔸متیو میلر گفت که واشینگتن مایل به این تمدید تا هر زمان ممکن است و نمی‌خواهد هیچ طرف از بی‌ثباتی فعلی در سوریه برای پیشبرد منافع محدود خود سوء استفاده کند.

🔸شهر منبیج در شمال سوریه طی یک دهه گذشته در اختیار کُردهای مورد حمایت آمریکا موسوم به «نیروهای سوریه دموکراتیک» بود اما پس از سقوط حکومت بشار اسد، نیروهای مورد حمایت ترکیه موسوم به «ارتش ملی سوریه» با ورود به این شهر با کردها درگیر شدند.

🔸رهبری «نیروهای سوریه دموکراتیک» با کردهای موسوم به «یگان‌های مدافع خلق» است و ترکیه این یگان‌ها را «تروریستی» و وابسته به پ.ک.ک می‌داند.
