Dari Abu Hurairah r.a. katanya Rasulullah saw bersabda : خَيْرُ يَوْمٍ طَلَعَتْ عَلَيْهِ الشَّمْسُ يَوْمُ الْجُمُعَةِ.
Ertinya : "Sebaik-baik hari yang terbit matahari ialah hari jumaat..." (Hadith Muslim) . Maka siapa yang bersedekah pada hari jumaat dia telah mendapat dua kelebihan iaitu kelebihan sedekah memberi makan kepada manusia dan kelebihan berbuat kebaikkan pada hari Jumaat.
