Внешне двухместный AMG PureSpeed отличается отсутствием крыши и лобового стекла.
Автомобиль оснащается системой защиты пилота HALO по аналогии с болидами «Формулы-1».
Mercedes AMG PureSpeed, выпущенный в количестве 250 экземпляров, в настоящее время тестируется на дорогах северной Италии. После этого машины отправятся на юг страны, к скоростной тестовой трассе в Нардо.
В ходе испытаний спорткары проедут в общей сложности более 3000 км.
