Новый российский метеоспутник "Электро-Л" №4 вышел на орбиту после запуска на ракете "Протон-М" с космодрома Байконур.
Ракета стартовала в 12.13 мск 5 февраля. Через 9 минут 45 секунд после старта "Протон" вывел космическую головную часть – разгонный блок ДМ-03 со спутником, на низкую околоземную орбиту. Потом "разгонник" три раза включал свой двигатель и доставил "Электро-Л" на орбиту высотой 35,4 тысячи километров.
Теперь спутнику предстоит самостоятельно добраться до целевой геостационарной орбиты высотой почти 35,8 тысячи километров. Там он займёт точку 165,8 градуса восточной долготы и будет смотреть за "одной из кухонь погоды" - Тихим океаном, а также за Дальним Востоком России.
