Первую партию стекла отправят с Сахалина на переработку в Новосибирскую область.

Уже завтра отгрузят 4 вагона с собранным стеклом — всего 250 тонн. Транспорт пройдёт процедуры оформления и взвешивания, а далее паромным путём по маршруту Холмск-Ванино отправится на материк. В ходе сортировки твёрдых бытовых отходов на острове отбирают вторичные ресурсы: бутылки, банки и отходы из старого стекла. Из него планируют изготавливать маломерную песчаную тротуарную плитку. Сахалинский региональный оператор по управлению отходами планирует отправлять стекло раз в квартал. Ранее этого не удавалось делать из-за проблем с логистикой. В планах также открыть два пункта по приёму стеклотары. Адреса опубликуют в ближайшее время на официальном сайте регионального оператора по управлению отходами.
