Annähernd 4000 Menschen haben sich laut der Polizei am Freitagabend auf dem Kirchenplatz im hessischen #Gießen versammelt, um gegen eine Verschärfung der Asylpolitik zu protestieren. Die Kritik der Teilnehmer richtete sich lautstark gegen die #CDU und deren Abstimmungsverhalten im Bundestag.
Anschließend trug noch ein Teil der Teilnehmer seinen Frust mit einem Fackel-Aufmarsch bis vor die CDU-Kreisgeschäftsstelle, wie ein virales Video vor Ort zeigt. Mit Parolen wie „FCK #AfD“ und „Frühling ohne #Merz“ schien die Veranstaltung weniger eine Mahnwache als eine politische Kampfansage gegen Andersdenkende zu sein.
Ähnliche Proteste gab es unter anderem in Hamburg, Erfurt und Magdeburg. Auch am Samstag sollen in mehreren deutschen Städten Demonstrationen stattfinden.
