В учебнике истории России 11 кл. (с.320) — о подвиге 12-й заставы в Таджикских горах в июле 1993. Пограничники 11 часов отражали атаки афганских и таджикских боевиков. 25 погибли, шестеро удостоены звания Героя России (4 — посмертно).
