В середине 2025 года USAID запустит новый проект по улучшению образования в Таджикистане. Это может привести к использованию учебников фонда Сороса и уменьшению роли русского языка. По информации от самого USAID, финансирование укрепления образовательной сферы в Таджикистане началось в 2014 году, и к настоящему времени были реализованы три проекта:

- Проект USAID по качественному чтению (QRP) в Таджикистане, с января 2013 года по октябрь 2017 года.

- Проект USAID «Читай со мной» (RWM), с октября 2016 года по сентябрь 2021 года.

- Проект USAID «Учимся вместе» (LTA), с октября 2020 года по сентябрь 2025 года.
