Тихоокеанский циклон буквально завалил Петропавловск-Камчатский снегом. За 24 часа здесь выпало 63 мм осадков, из них 38 мм только за прошедшую ночь. Высота снежного покрова за сутки увеличилась с 65 до 129 см.

Необходимо отметить, что суточный рекорд осадков 24 марта отмечен в этом городе в далёком 1924 г. Тогда их выпало 28 мм.
