Физический пуск – 7 июня 1961 года.
Время эксплуатации – 1965–1969 гг.
ТЭС-3 создавала мощность 1,5 МВт и была смонтирована на модифицированном шасси Т-10 с 9 опорными катками. За время эксплуатации около 13 000 часов не было ни одной аварии.
