В 2024 году Россия значительно увеличила запасы золота и серебра в недрах: запасы золота выросли на 5% (около 900 тонн), серебра — на 2% (свыше 2,8 тыс. тонн), а также увеличились запасы алмазов на 3,2 млн карат, сообщает Госкомиссия по запасам полезных ископаемых (ГКЗ) Минприроды РФ.
Прирост запасов золота превысил объемы добычи предыдущих лет, чему способствовали новые и расширенные месторождения, такие как «Древний» в Магаданской области, «Гросс» (Якутия) и «Ведугинское» (Красноярский край). Прирост запасов серебра полностью покрыл объемы добычи 2023 года. Новые месторождения укрепляют сырьевую базу и стимулируют развитие регионов, создавая рабочие места и развивая инфраструктуру. В ГКЗ подчеркнули эффективность геологоразведочных программ и инвестиций в минерально-сырьевой комплекс для устойчивого роста горнодобывающей отрасли.
