За кандидатуру мэра Иркутска должны проголосовать не менее 24 депутатов - двух третей от установленного числа (то есть 34) городских парламентариев.
Ранее (13 января 2020 года) состоялись публичные слушания по этому же вопросу. Дума Иркутска скоропостижно готовит Положение о порядке проведения конкурса по отбору кандидатов на должность главы города Иркутска. Финальная версия компилируется из четырех вариантов Положения, которые сейчас есть в наличии в аппарате Думы города Иркутска.
