В среду, 29 января, у мемориала в селе Хохол прошло торжественное мероприятие, посвященное 82-й годовщине освобождения Хохольского района от немецко-фашистских захватчиков.

С памятной датой земляков поздравили глава Хохольского района Михаил Ельчанинов, председатель районного Совета ветеранов Николай Фурсов, настоятель Казанского храма протоиерей Валерий. Собравшиеся почтили память советских воинов минутой молчания, возложили живые цветы и венки к подножию памятника воинам-освободителям.

В этот день стартовала «Вахта памяти». Ученикам Хохольской школы торжественно передали шкатулку, в которой хранится земля с полей сражений.
