رصد خانه روبین (Vera C. Rubin Observatory) یک رصدخانه اپتیکی، مجهز به تلسکوپی با قابلیت پوشش عمیق و سریع، و زاویه دید وسیع در کشور شیلی هست که برای مساحی آسمان شب طراحی شده و بطور متوسط هر سه شب کل آسمان قابل مشاهده رو تصویربرداری میکنه. تلسکوپ این رصد خانه قراره ۱۰ سال به صورت مداوم این تصویربرداری رو انجام بده و در نهایت بزرگترین فیلم متحرک آسمان رو تولید کنه. رصدخانهٔ روبین بزرگترین دوربین(سنسور) ساخت بشر رو داره که به اندازه‌ی یک ماشین سواریه.
آینه اصلی ۸.۴ متر هست که هرچند بزرگترین در دنیا نیست، از اونجایی که سرعت بالایی در جمع‌آوری داده داره، بسیار منحصر بفرد هست.
