وهابیان سلفی (غیر مقلدین) پای خود را از این مرحله پیشتر گذاشته و حتی فتوا به تخریب قبر و بارگاه نبوی شریف صلی الله علیه وسلم را صادر کرده اند .
یکی از این مفتی های وهابی (مقبل بن هادی الوادئی )است ؛

إنه یَجِبُ إزالة هذهِ القُبَب والقُبور وَ أولُها قُبَةَ رَسولُ الله !!!!
